Barwon Edge
What do you do when you're running two very successful establishments? Open another of course! Jesse & Matt, the duo behind Alma and Felix, called us up to bring a not-so-new Geelong destination back to life with the help of Flux Design. Perched on the banks of the Barwon River and surrounded by lush greenery, Barwon Edge was the ideal job site. With beautiful stone features, smoky oak stained solid timber panelling and a stunning design by Flux, well, we were in our happy place, and we think you will be too.
Barwon Edge Cafe
Brother to the Barwon Edge restaurant and nestled on the Barwon River, the cafe provided the perfect canvas for Flux Design to work with. With smoky spotted gum surfaces, tan leather upholstery and custom timber shelving, the end result was a pristine location to enjoy a smashed avo and strong latte.
Felix
Owner and renowned chef, Jesse, had one thing in mind; create a dining atmosphere that does justice to the exquisite cuisine his team serves. Requiring close collaboration with interior design team Flux and a high attention to detail, Felix came to life. With rich walnut surfaces, chocolate leather upholstery and smooth arched features, the final product had us craving a chicken liver parfait with a drop of couzou marsanne.
The Kyn
Situated on the waters edge of Torquay’s much loved front beach, owners Tom, Josh and Yasmin collaborated with design studio Jacobsen Love and our team to create an experience that felt in concert with the beautiful environment. With light sandy ply, solid timber cladding, earth toned leather seating and subtle mood lighting, The Kyn has become a favourite spot for locals and tourists alike.
Harcombe
There’s no doubt about it, timber features bring a home to life. And that’s just what we were thinking when designing and building the interiors of the Harcombe residence. Utilising the natural features of American Oak for curved cladding feature walls, bespoke vanities, walk-in robes and floating shelving, you could genuinely feel the warmth in the finished product. Or maybe that was the custom built-in fireplace?
Bespoke Joinery
Our joiners are experienced craftspeople with the technical skills to construct high quality pieces from superior materials. Solid barn doors, bathroom vanities, bedside and entertainment units, we design and make them all in our Torquay workshop.
